Brief Biography

Dr. Chenhao Qi received the B.S. degree in Information Engineering with distinction from Chien-Shiung Wu Honored College of Southeast University in 2004. He received the Ph.D. degree majored in signal and information processing from Southeast University in 2010. From 2008 to 2010, he visited the Department of Electrical Engineering, Columbia University, New York, USA. Since 2010, he has been with the faculty of the School of Information Science and Engineering, Southeast University, where he is currently a full professor. His research interests include millimeter wave communications, massive MIMO, satellite communications, and intelligent signal processing. So far, he has published more than 100 journal papers and conference papers. He holds more than 20 Chinese patents and international patents. In November 2014, he was interviewed by Electronics Letters on his work of massive MIMO channel estimation. In 2019, he received IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM) Best Paper Award as well as the International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP) Best Paper Award. In 2022, he received IEEE International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC) Best Paper Award and his master student received IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Fall) Best Student Paper Award. He is an IEEE Communications Letters Exemplary Reviewer of 2017 and IEEE Communications Letters Exemplary Editor of 2018. He is also an IEEE Access Outstanding Associate Editor of 2018. He has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, IEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology, IEEE Access and China Communications.
